MAORI HEALTH WEBSITE

A Maori health website was launched this week designed to improve access to information on Maori health services.

Deputy Director-General Maori Health Ria Earp said the website provides leads and introductions on Maori health issues which will be useful for consumers as well as health providers.

The site provides information on where to access Maori health proviers, and will also feature health publications and notices that consumers and providers can contribute to.

The Ministry of Health's Maori Health Directorate gets around threee queries a week from overseas health providers, presearchers, indigenous groups, or media wanting information on Maori health issues.

Now these people will be directed to the website
