AUSSIE SIGMA PROFIT

Sigma Australia has announced a massive profit for the last half year. Figures show the groups profit rose by 59% after tax and before abnormals to $A8.3 million in the first six months of this year.

The result was achieved through strong sales growth in both of the company's divisions, with the Pharmaceutical division performing particularly well.

The Healthcare Department reaped the benefits of a continuing focus on capital and cost management.
